In addition, all bustling shopping streets are connected to the market, the heart of the town, where you can take regular breaks while enjoying a snack and drink.

Opening times

The shops are open from Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. Most shops are closed on Monday mornings.

Shopping Sundays

Shopping Sunday is every last Sunday of the month. The shops are open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Every Wednesday morning and Saturday you can visit the famous market in the centre. Nice to visit!

Parking

Would you prefer to travel to the town by car? You can! There are no less than 1,300 parking spaces available in and around Winterswijk. Parking is free. The parking areas at Gerrit Komrij College and Theater De Storm are spacious and are only a 5-minute walk from the centre.

Settle in on one of the terraces

The cosy and attractive centre immediately invites you to settle in on one of the many terraces. The centrepiece of the market square is an ancient and monumental church, the Jacobskerk, which is an easy and recognisable point for everyone due to its impressive appearance. Countless terraces are arranged around it in the spring, summer and autumn.

Would you prefer a slightly quieter environment to have your snack and drink? Then walk past the shopping streets: there are also some restaurants and bistros!
