What is a natural swimming pond?

Unlike a traditional swimming pool, the water in our natural swimming pond is purified entirely by natural processes. A carefully designed plant zone, together with a natural filtration system, maintains excellent water quality day and night. The result is a unique swimming experience in the heart of nature.

Water quality comes first

A natural swimming pond works in harmony with nature. To maintain the highest possible water quality, we carefully monitor the pond throughout the day. During this initial phase, the aquatic plants are still developing, which means nature may occasionally need a little more time to complete its natural purification process.

When water quality requires it, we temporarily close the natural swimming pond. This is most likely to happen in the afternoon. By giving nature the time it needs to do its work, you can enjoy clean, naturally purified water again later in the day.

Of course, our aim is to open the natural swimming pond every day and keep it accessible for as long as possible.

Enjoy nature with respect

Because nature purifies the water, even small actions can make a big difference. By following the house rules below, you help us maintain the highest possible water quality.

• The natural swimming pond and its surrounding area are a quiet zone. Please be considerate of other guests and avoid behaviour or items that disturb the peace.
• The natural swimming pond is an adults-only facility (16+).
• Showering before entering the natural swimming pond is mandatory. Together, we help preserve the natural water quality.
• Please enter the natural swimming pond using the steps only.
• Jumping or diving from the edge is not permitted.
• The plant zone is part of the natural filtration system. Please do not disturb it.
• The boardwalks are intended solely for access to the sun loungers.
